Hello Believers and Abductees:
This update is kind of long but we feel that it is important to share this information with you. Please read this carefully! This is a special update that contains a warning about some visitors to iwasabducted.com that have been using multiple handles, and may be threatening or scaring our members and visitors.
We recognize that some people may use more than one username out of security concerns, however, sometimes people do this with malicious intentions.
We want everyone to be aware of one person that has posted on iwasabducted.com as BOTH an abductee and a skeptic! PLEASE BEWARE OF A PERSON FROM THE U.K. THAT USES THESE HANDLES: Cordelia, Cass, Cassiopeia Nova, Neutrino Ghost, Graham Harter, Soup Dragon - These are only the names that we know of! He or She may have many others!
Some of you may already be friends with this person and doubt our claim. Many of us at iwasabducted.com (including the Webmaster) have befriended this person only to have the wool pulled over our eyes. Here is how we made our discovery:
In our old Discussion Forums, ip addresses were visible to anyone who viewed the postings. (Our current forum is more secure and only allows administrators and moderators to see this information). In our old Discussion Forums that are currently archived and available for viewing at http://www.iwasabducted.com/openforum/openforum.html , i.p. addresses tied Cass, Soup Dragon, and Graham Harter together to be the same person. Cass identified herself as Cordelia in the chat room while the Webmaster was chatting with Sapphire and Celeste.
Cass/Cordelia uses a dial-up modem, so the last digit of the i.p. address changes with each dialup, sometimes only by one digit. (If you use a dial-up modem and are unfamiliar with this, compare your i.p. each time you dial up to get on the internet and note the similarities between your current and previous i.p.). Most dial-up providers grant more than one telephone access number - so a different i.p. can sometimes be generated by the same user by using the alternate telephone dial-up number through the same internet service provider.
This is the case with Cass/Cordelia, the links in Discussion Archives 2 indicate that she posted also as Graham Harter (an abductee) and Soup Dragon (a skeptic).
These common i.p.'s (from Discussion Archives 2 - as referenced above) indicate that Cass (a believer) and Soup Dragon (a skeptic) are the same person:

Cass has more than one i.p. that appears in Discussion Archives 2. The links above are for tying her to the Soup Dragon Handle. Her secondary i.p. in the same archives (on other posts) can be found to closely match those of Graham Harter (a believer). If you have any doubts about our investigation or logic on this discovery, please feel free to compare the i.p. numbers of all posts made by Cass, Soup Dragon, and Graham Harter in Discussion Archives 2.
This person recently moved, and received a new i.p. (we believe from a completely different i.s.p. that begins with 213). The i.p. that Cass/Cordelia registered in the new forums began with 213 also. We did not know Cordelia was Cass until she came into the chat room as Cass and told Webmaster, Sapphire, and Celeste that she registered in the forums as Cordelia.
We suspect that this person has been a source of disinformation to our visitors and forum members. We furthermore believe that she might be responsible for (or have knowledge of) the hacking attempts that have been made on other members, and may be providing them with misinformation about this website, its administration, and professional intentions.
Another person who has used multiple handles may also be deceiving others and possibly have something to do with the hacking attempts, as well. This person claims to be only 16 years old (a minor) so I will not identify him by name, however, we will say that he recently created his own website and is located in Chicago. He has said in the past that he has wanted to help this website to capture the hacker and had identified i.p.s of the hacker, yet would not supply the information to this website for investigation! He additionally made a post in our forums to request that the administration of iwasabducted.com provide him with all of the i.p. numbers of everyone that posts here. PLEASE BE ASSURED THAT WE WILL NOT RELEASE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO NON-QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS! (IT WOULD HAVE TO BE SUBPOENAED BY LAW!) We acknowledge that this is your personal information if not publicly displayed (as our current forums don't display them) and it just might be possible that these people want our records so that they can identify and hack more of our members that they may have missed! Please be careful to whom you release your personal information, including your i.p. number!
Moving on along the subject of multiple handles...
We have deleted some forum members that were not posting. We found that these people registered under multiple handles, as email addresses were common to more than one handle. While no posts were made, we felt that the numerous handles were unnecessary, and deleted them.
As we said in the beginning of this update - we believe that some legitimate reasons exist for multiple handles...NOW FOR THE BIG NEWS...
The Webmaster of iwasabducted.com (that's me) has in the past been known to use a second handle himself. A few of you might know about this, but some may not. Others may wonder why the webmaster would need a second handle...so here's the handle and here's the story:
My other handle is ufoman. I am no longer using it on this website because I believe that Cass/Cordelia and others may be trying to persuade people that I have malicious intentions by adopting a second handle. I can assure you all that this is not the case. I will provide a summary of how and why the ufoman handle came to exist.
First of all, I could not use the handle of "Webmaster" on other websites. ufoman was the handle I used before iwasabducted.com was created. When this site first came on line, and there were next to zero visitors, I identified ufoman as the webmaster/site owner to the first few people that came to visit. It turns out that they were nice, honest people. Then the site began to grow and attract more people. We began to see our rankings move up in the search engines until we became top 10 in Google Search for Alien Abduction, and Top 5 in Alta Vista. Once we moved up in the rankings, we began to see visits from people that like to make fun of the alien abduction phenomenon. Some of these people were informed that ufoman was the webmaster, and ufoman started to get harassed by these non-believers. I also got quite busy with the website and upgrading it, and decided that I would use the ufoman handle as an incognito handle to screen people and see who was legitimate. Also, sometimes I just simply wanted to chat about UFO topics without discussing business (this website). With the ufoman handle, it was hard to relax in the chat room when everyone knew he was the webmaster. When hackers started to arrive, I REALLY did not want them knowing who the webmaster was!
I gradually started revealing that ufoman was the webmaster to others after I got to know them and became comfortable with them. The site continued to grow, more people registered for the forums, and most were unaware of my other handle.
It turns out that some people may not approve of my use of two handles, so I will be retiring the use of the ufoman handle. ufoman will NOT be deleted from the forums, as that handle has been known to be stolen by malicious people who use it to impersonate me. I do not want to delete it and have someone else register with it. I will still need it for when I go to other websites.
If I did not make myself known to some of you, please accept my sincere apologies. I reiterate that if you were not notified that ufoman was the webmaster, it is only because he was 'policing' the forums. I wish I had a better way of doing it, but I am not an expert at identifying hackers or determining who is legitimate.
Please be advised that this website and its administration has legitimate intentions to make iwasabducted.com secure from hackers. A new chat program is being worked on and it should be hack proof. I am confident that the Discussion Forums are hacker proof or else the hacker would have broken in and deleted the whole forum, as he did with the Yabb forum that used to be up on Ted IV's site - Ted and his wife told me they were on line and literally saw their Yabb files being deleted by this hacker.
So.....sorry for the VERY LONG update - there is SO much more to tell but it will have to wait for another update.
By the way I am looking for one or two volunteers to help me moderate the forums and keep the garbage out. If you are interested in becoming a moderator of the iwasabducted.com Discussion Forums, here's how you can apply:
In 500 words or less, please tell me why you would like to be a moderator and what you can do to make the forums more enjoyable for everyone. Please include a little background on yourself, indicate if you have seen a UFO or been abducted, and how long you have been visiting us. Please also include what qualifies you to be a moderator, and how you will address conflict in the forums when it arises. Also include what you would recommend for disciplinary action to people that abuse the forums, and any other information you feel is pertinent.
