aircraft disguise?

heres how it happened. it was late in the summer, around august, an my father and I had gone for our usual nightly swim at the local pool. usualy we dident swim, we just sat on the edge and talked about scientific stuff. we always watched the sky. our topic had just become aleins when my father noticed what appered to me to be just a regular jumbo-jet above us, but there was somethig strange about it. it had a very strange strobe pattern.
