Sited between 8-10 bright globes moving west to south easterly high over Northampton with a large storm formation (heavy black cloud formations). Initial siting mistaken as a group of ballooons or lights. However the height and travel speed was too high. Observed for 3-4 minutes, first the globes decended below the storm (emerging from cloud base) moved south easterly against the wind direction and then moved at speed away from our postion. Sited from open countryside (overstone park) with storm moving over, globes suddenly dropping from cloud base. Witnessed by two people. One attempted picture on mobile, however later download of picture reveals no obvious images of globes. Movement was controlled, height approx 4-5,000ft moving off above 10,000ft based on ground comparison to local airfield flight path and known flight levels. Movement controlled, globes in staggered formation, two central globes red in colour, with outer rings, network of globes blue/green and gold variations. Could not have been a reflection due to sun starting to set in west, making it unable to cause reflection etc. Unknown objects, yet clearly visibile. Welcome any feedback on how to check other witness reports or to clarify what this could have been. Direction of travel towards bedfordshire moving over open countryside.
