ufo essex uk 1989?

in 1989 i lived on the 13th floor of high rise flats in tilbury essex, i had very clear views of east tilbury, stanford le hope, corringham, coryton this included the oil refinary, early hours one morning my livingroom was brightly lite with a red/orange glow from a light that seemed to beem straight through my window when i looked the light was very bright and seemed to come from the oil refinary it looked as if a helicoptor was hovering above it, concerned as my grandad use to say "if that goes up we all will" i watched in horror(i had two small children tucked in there beds in the next room) it hung there hovering for a while, then to my (i can only discribe this as terror)the apparent helicoptor moved across the sky to the power station in tilbury at such a rate it took only seconds it hovered there for a little while less than a minute and zoomed at an angle east and dissapeared in a second leaving a red light trail a few days later in the local paper several people had seen the object from the ground in stanford le hope and corringham they explained a disc with a bright orange/red light that seemed to glow from above it, i have looked for this event on the internet for years but cant find anything about it
