Happy new year!
Now then, at the stroke of midnight last night, myself, my wife & two children stood outside to watch the usual fireworks being set off from nearby houses etc. Then quite strangely, we saw two bright orange lights coming towards us from the Burnley direction (we live in Loveclough). Then another two followed seconds later. They appeared to be behind each other and very bright, with no engine sounds (they could have been too far away). The speed they were travelling I would estimate as being similar to micro-light type speed. Once they got adjacent to us, they appeared to dissapear over the hill heading in the haslingden / accrington direction.
Being on the ball, as soon as we saw them, we got the camera out and took a video of them moving across the sky. This morning (having sobered up a bit - lol), I got on the internet & googled "lights in rossendale sky" and was very surprised (ok & a bit excited too), to find identical stories from january last year. One of the stories was even on new years day exactly 12 months ago. Very strange!
If your interested in my story or video, please e-mail me back on jct.2007@hotmail.co.uk.
Regards
Jason
