Okay, you may be thinking it was probably just a comet, but no, this was MUCH faster! Anyway, I am almost 13, and I was on a Boy Scout camp out to Mt. Tamalpais near San Francisco. 3 other scouts and I slept outside on a tarp underneath the stars (we forgot to bring a tent). One scout and I were looking at the stars: the Big Dipper, The Northern Star, Shooting Stars, all that stuff. Suddenly, we both saw a weird, yellow ball of light shoot across the western part of the sky. It was weird! The scout asked me, "Whoa! Did you see that huge shooting star?" I replied, "That wasn't a shooting star!"

I was right. To our point of view, it was about the size of a gum ball, and it was shot across the sky faster than a second, maybe about a millisecond!
