Alien Sighting

Look I am not sure how to explain this and I have tried several different times a year to since the sighting to see if there is anyone else out there that has seen this just to make sure I'm not crazy. This happened in the early to mid-nineties I was walking home from a friends house to my grandparents (mind you they lived directly next door). my brother and I would spend summers there as kids. My friends house was separated from my grandparents by a short line of 8ft trees my grandparents had a large yard with a gate on one side that was maybe 20 ft from my friends house (kinda into the line of trees ) and a gate at another end that came in from the drive way. I was coming out of my friends side/back door of her house and would be entering my grandparents house on their back porch entrance. normally her parents watched me get into the gate of my grandparents yard and they knew that once they heard the gate close that I was basically at my grandparents back door (its only about 8ft to their back porch door). as I left my friends house I got this very strange feeling in my stomach and began to pick up the pace to get to the back porch I actually found myself sort of running. I panicked got onto the back porch and immediately put the chain link lock on the porch door I began pounding on the back door of the house (there is the porch door and about a step and a half from there is the back door attached to the house)my grandparents are older and I could see my grandmother getting up from her chair in her bedroom (you can see this from the glass window part of the backdoor through to the bedroom) without skipping a beat the back porch door was pushed open (but only as far as the chain link lock would allow it to go) an arm was reaching through this door at me and the one thing that stuck out the strangest to me was those eyes they were glowing red but that was all I could see I saw the outline of someone or something kinda tall medium build. My grandmother unlocked the door and I flew in I was so scared I had to run to the bathroom to pee before I had an accident. As I was getting into the bathroom I yelled for my grandfather to check outside in the yard I think someone was out there as he was headed out I sat on the toilet (directly next to the toilet is a window that leads out into the yard and 5ft from that is the other gate (that leads to the driveway) I looked out the window only to see the eyes staring back at me I screamed and I heard the gate close. my grandfather got out there just as the gate had closed and saw nothing. I asked my grandmother if she had seen the person at the door with their arm reaching to me and all she said she was able to see was the porch door closing the second she opened the back door. My grandparents are still around today and they both can still remember that night like it happened yesterday. All I am looking for is some kind of proof that I saw what I saw and getting someone to actually believe you is even harder without any proof it just sounds like a childs made up fears but I know what I saw. I'm not a believer of sorts only because people tend to think you are a little looney when you try and tell them you actually had an encounter I think if it happened more often people would take it more seriously but for now you still get looked at like "I guess you believe The Easter Bunny is real too?" I just want to know if ANYONE has seen what I have seen and if no one has then maybe I am just crazy but I still cant help but think what if I didnt get that lock on the door???
