This cigar-shaped UFO was photographed by Mr. Raul Garza at the Sierra Madre Oriental fire on 14 April 1998 in Monterrey, Mexico.  Raul reports, "Suddenly an unexpected visitor appeared...it was like an enormous neon tube illuminated with an intense white light."  His camera was mounted on a tripod and set to the 'program' mode.  A telephoto lens with a range of 25-70 meters was used, set to 70 meters. A second photograph depicts the object to the left of the fire, whereas it appears immediately over one of the smaller burning areas in the first photo.  Mr. Garza notes that UFO activity in Mexico increases when the main volcanoes near Mexico City are close to eruption.
