On 14 April 1999, Raul and his friend, Carlos Rodriguez, a computer engineer, were near Raul's home which sits atop a hill overlooking Topo Chico Mountain, approximately 8 kilometers away. They were studying photographs that had been taken of a white cigar-shaped object, one year earlier.  At approximately 8:30 PM, the two men were surprised to notice that a fire had broken out on Topo Chico Mountain. They began to take pictures of the fire without noticing anything unusual, however, when the film was developed the pictures indicated that UFOs were present. These two photographs were taken 10 seconds apart, at 8:30 PM.  Enlargements also appear below.

At 9:00 PM, Raul took another photograph of Monterrey in the direction where the stadium and steel factory is located.  Again, a UFO was caught on film!
