Crop Circles in Peebles, Ohio, USA
4 September 2003

A soybean farmer in Peebles, Ohio recently discovered several crop circles while she was inspecting her fields for flood damage, according to sources.

The crop circles have been big news in Adams County and the surrounding tri-state area, and numerous visitors have been arriving to take a look at the designs. Some people believe that the crop circles are more than just an elaborate hoax. Others that have seen the circles say that the design points to Native American mounds in the area, and that the design in the field is similar to the tail of the mounds. The largest circle is more than 300 feet in diameter.

Across the street from the field, Candy Faulkner works for Serpent Mound. Cindy was interviewed by WLWT-TV on Thursday, September 4, 2003. Candy says, "It's fascinating. Somebody came in yesterday saying, 'Where's the crop circles? Where's the crop circles?' It's real big news."

Mildred Jamison, a longtime resident of Peebles, says that she has noticed numerous out-of-county visitors coming to see Southern Ohio crop circles.

The site has reportedly been visited by an independent crop circle researcher who is launching an investigation, and has initially reported that radiation levels and electromagnetic fields within the Adams County crop circles are higher than in areas outside the pattern. Measurements and photographs of the designs have been recorded. A final report from the investigator is expected next month.

The farmer says that the only mystery to her is why people want to knowingly damage even  more of her crops by trampling them, so she is requesting that visitors stay off the beans on their way to see the circles.
