At 11:49 AM on 16 April 2002, anomalous black dots once again became visible when the volcano wasn't. The object inside the blue circle is alleged to be a speck of dust on the glass as it remained in the same spot for three days.  Enlargements of the other two anomalous objects proved to be strikingly similar to enlargements of dark images from photos taken on clear days. Questions arose about the proximity of the object when Mt. Popo was obscured by clouds and visibility conditions were poor, indicating that the objects were actually close to the camera, not the cloud-obscured volcano. 12 minutes later the legs and one wing of an insect became clear in the subsequent photo:
