Okay I'll add my expierience. This seems to be the only thread where people are telling the truth and not goofing off. I live in North Carolina and have seen a few times some UFO'S. The first expierience was on a road that has some farms and lots of empty land. Anyways I was driving down the road and noticed some bright light in the sky. This road was winding and noone was behind me so I slowed down to have a look around. I saw what looked like just an airplane flying overhead. So I thought nothing of it and kept on driving. So suddenly the light got brighter, and I looked in my drivers side mirror. I saw an intense white light, and I thought someone had their brights on. So I slowed down and pulled to a side road to let the car, I thought, with brights on, pass on by. Well I came to a stop on the side of the next road and saw it. It was extremely large, black and triangular and was going very fast. Not making a single sound either. It had made a left turn when I turned onto the side road so now the light was not in my eyes directly. It seemed as if it was going to simply fly away so I got back in my car to keep on going. No sooner had I put my seat belt on I saw that same intense bright white light in my eyes. I looked up and now this large craft was directly above my car. Not making a single sound either, and I was frozen, I literally felt myself paralyzed not being able to move. About a few seconds later I was able to open my car door and look up. What I saw was just amazing. Flashing lights on the bottom of the craft and that intense white light. For a good minute I just stood there looking up at the craft and I had no idea why I was just standing there. Usually I like to check amazing things out, I know my jaw hit the floor and I was just amazed I was this close to the craft. I estimate it was hovering between 20-25 feet above but it did look closer because the ship was so large. I heard a humming sound and it looked as though the ship was vibrating. It was hovering for close to 3 minutes I estimate, until it took off. At first I was scared but then felt a sense of inner peace like I've never felt before. The rest of that night I felt like I was one with everything. I can't explain it other than that, but the next few weeks I felt lost and couldn't get a sense of direction. Another one happened when I was just starting to doze off. Many people will say I was sleeping and just dreamed it but I know I was awake. It was around 2 AM and I was dozing on the couch. I heard the dog at the door whom stayed out the majority of the day. She was on a chain tied to a tree very close to the home. She went to the door and started scratching on the door. There was no reason for her to do that cause she was usually fine when left outside, it was summer time so the temps were not cold or anything. So I go to the door and tell her to stop, well she was trying to let me know something was wrong. So I let her off the chain and let her in the home. She came in with tail between her legs whimpering. I thought she had been hurt, I checked her and she didn't have any scrapes or bruises. She felt better to be inside which was odd cause she loved the outdoors. So I finally calmed her down and petted her and she was fine, but had no desire to go outside. So I was about to go to sleep and I felt a resonating on the wall. I felt it when I went to shut the front door and felt something making the wall vibrate. So I touched the wall and felt the same thing. So I get a flashlight and check outside. What I saw next was the first UFO expierience I had ever witnessed. I looked out to the street which living in a neighborhood was not far away. It had just started raining, enough to where it would cast a reflection if something were on it. I saw a UFO hovering right above my road, around no more than 5 feet above the road. I was completely shocked and pinched myself to make sure I wasn't actually asleep. I felt the pain from the pinch and only flinched from the pinch, never woke up, I was in fact awake. So I turned on my flashlight and shined it on the ship. I walked out in the yard midways to the road. The bottom of the craft was like a Navy blue looking or possibly black since it was night time and hard to see. So I went up a bit further and the craft rose up a small ways. The closer I got the further up it rose. So I decided to walk around the house and try fooling it and be able to approach from a different angle. As I got further away from the craft it slowly went back to where it was when I first saw it. I snuck slowly around the house to the other side so I could see if I could get a better view. I got a little closer from this angle and I was able to see a different side of the ship. This ship was smaller, and was kind've egg shaped. I found that the resonating sound was coming from the back side of the ship, maybe a very quiet engine. I did see a grill looking device on it, and had heard about instances in the past where people were burned by it and was apprehensive about proceeding further. I went forward 1 more bit and heard a loud sound and I started running back the way I came. I ran and hid, I was extremely scared now and was afraid to look. So finally I looked and saw the noise was some stairs or some part of the ship sticking out the bottom. At that point I stopped looking and only wanted to get really far away. So I didn't move a muscle and just stayed crouched facing a bush in the yard, hoping the ship wouldn't be there. I looked over again and the ship started rising. It got a bit higher and I noticed it took off and so fast that it just dissappeared and never saw it again. I went back in the house and didn't sleep for the next 3 months. I don't know what I saw but at the time thinking back I did own a digital camera. If I only could've taken a snapshot or even a few but then at night stuff doesen't devolop right anyways. I got to thinking also, all the time, space is dark. It leads me to believe they are scared of the sun or don't fly during the day. Also they must have some knowledge on warping time, otherwise how would people lose so much time during an encounter? That's my 2 instances of UFO'S. Oh also I'm not a dumb hick making this up, I'm originally from NY.
