SUBJECT: UFO Sighting 

The year was around 1966-1967 when I was about 12-13 years of age. My family and I was eating dinner one night when we heard a tremendous noise that sound like a helicopter about to land on our roof. I ran out the back door and my mother ran out the front door. Hovering direct over our house about 50 feet up was a spaceship. It was silver in color, with rainbow colored revolving lights around it's perimeter. It had a cockpit but I could not see anyone in it. We lived near Ft. Campbell, KY army post, but this did not have any writing or letters on it that showed it was connected with the military. It was tilted down towards me and just hovered there. I was in great shock but finally I ran into the house screaming for my family to come see. When we got back outside it was gone. There was no sign of it in the sky and you could see a great long distance from where we lived. Also my mother could not see it from where she stood in the front yard??? All of my family did hear the noise that the spaceship made.
