Hello, my name is Spencer. I have had at least two of what I think are known encounters with alien beings. The first when I was about four yrs old. I knew I was walking by myself, and what I perceived as Big Bird came and took me by the hand and walked with me. Then there was a bright light, and of that time I remember nothing since I was so young.

Then, in Missouri, I was 14 yrs old. This encounter I remember vividly. I was in my room, which was a converted garage. The odd thing I remember about this is that it took place in my own room. I remember a tall, almost cartoon-like figure dressed in a doctor's uniform. His face was odd; it looked like a cartoon man, but he had big glasses on.

When he began to touch me, it all changed. It was tall, had a long neck and a squashed-down type of face? There were other figures in the background; smaller, with more bulbous heads. The taller one at my bedside took an 18 inch needle-like instrument and inserted it into my thigh? There was a bright light in my window and I couldn't move, but was awake. When I awoke in the morning, I would have normally taken this as some sort of dream, but my leg hurt badly.

Still, at that age, I took no notice that it was anything but a dream. Twelve weeks later, I found a circle of grass outside my window that was dead. It was about 14 feet across. So, if we take 7 from the center and square the numbers, it was about 28 feet in diameter. Well, the grass was dead, in a perfect circle.

It wasn't until later in life that I fully remembered those things. Take it for what one will. But I believe it was an encounter with another beings, and have had a few since that time.

Sincerely yours,

Spencer

PS: It took place around Table Rock Lake in Missouri.

Dear Spencer:

Thank you for reporting your experiences to iwasabducted.com.  Your encounters sound very interesting.

You might want to take note that you made some errors in calculating the size of your circle.

The distance across the middle of the circle is referred to as the diameter. The radius of a circle is the distance from the center of a circle to any point on the circle. If you place two radii end-to-end in a circle, you would have the same length as one diameter. Thus, the diameter of a circle is twice as long as the radius. This relationship is expressed in the following formula: D=2R, where D is the diameter and R is the radius.

In your example, you implied that the distance across the middle of the circle is 14 feet, and that the radius is 7 feet. This matches the formula of multiplying the radius by 2 to calculate the diameter. You would never square the radius (which is to multiply it by itself) when making this calculation. Even if this were allowed, 7 X 7 = 49, not 28.

The distance around a circle is called the circumference. We mentioned that distance across a circle through the center is called the diameter. Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter. Thus, for any circle, if you divide the circumference by the diameter, you get a value close to Pi.  (Pi = C / D)

If you wanted to calculate the circumference of your circle, you would use the formula C = Pi · D, which would give us a circumference of approximately 44 feet (3.14 X 14).

If you wished to calculate the area of your circle, you would use the formula: A = Pi·R2, where Pi is multiplied by the square of the radius.  Thus, the area of your circle would be approximately 3.14 X 72, or 3.14 · 49, which is approximately 154 square feet of dead grass.

In any event, we understand that the grass was dead, in a perfect circle!

Until later, keep your eyes focused toward the heavens!

Sincerely,
