Subject: Has anyone else ever seen something like this?

When I was five, I was sleeping in my Mother's room one night. I was awakened by a light-bluish glow coming from the bedroom door area. Soon after I noticed the glow, I witnessed a weird hovering object that was emitting the light. It was a small can-like (cylinder shaped) thing that was approximately 8 inches tall with a circumference of about 10 inches. It appeared to have sharp blade-like structures on the side. It made a low humming sound as it spun and hovered. It almost seemed alive. It came in from the bedroom door area and went to the front of the bed. Then I could only see it's glow. Then it came from around the foot of the bed to where it was fully visible and continued to spin and hover just above the floor. When it got towards the head of the bed, where I was laying totally petrified and unable the move or scream, it began to rise up level to my head as I watched helplessly in fear as my mother was asleep next to me. I "passed out" after it had arose to my level on the bed. I saw no "aliens" in the room or have no other memories of anything else happening after I blacked out. I had always passed it off as a bad dream that just seemed real, that was until, I was 18 years old. During a conversation with my Mother, somehow this strange event came into our discussion. She had experienced the EXACT same sighting with the exact same description that I had given. It happened to her during that same timeframe (1977.) We both thought previously that we were crazy or just had some weird dream until we talked. We still aren't sure if it was a ghost, impression, or UFO. I just don't know. Neither of us has seen anything like it since.

Now, when I was 21yrs old, and at Ft Lenardwood, MO. in basic training, I did witness a UFO. I was sitting on some railroad tracks just outside of some Army warehouses. I had walked away from the group to get some peace and quiet as the rest of my platoon was turning in field equipment. I was just looking up into the clear blue sky thinking of what a beautiful day it was and getting some warm sun on my face, (it was late January and still semi cold). I noticed a small silver triangular shaped object approx. 500-600 ft up. It made no sound, It made quick and fast movements like a gnat would in flight. It shot from one end of the horizon to the other. It zigzagged up and down and continued to zip around at great distances and stop on a dime. Then it just shot off out of my sight. Now, it was about 1:00 PM in the afternoon & I was totally awake and aware of my surroundings and NOBODY was with me unfortunately to help witness this. I went back over to the rest of the group and asked if any of the others had seen it. Of course not...Well, maybe I saw a UFO that time because of what I had seen in the bedroom back that one night when I was 5 yrs old. If ANYONE has witnessed or heard of anything similar to that small hovering object I and my Mother had seen, PLEASE share your story! I've never heard of anything like it yet!
