SUBJECT: Dream or Reality?

Hi,

This event happened to me a few years ago. I was newly divorced and had just moved to a small apartment with my two young daughters. On two separate nights I was sleeping when these things happened. The first night I had fallen asleep, nude, and I remember turning from my side onto my back and then all of sudden the room was full of light although my eyes were closed. I was unable to move, completely paralyzed and yet fully aware that there was a bright circle of light encompassing my body. I laid there and tried to move but was unable to and I even tried to say "God, help me," but the first time I said it I was very garbled and unable to speak clearly. Finally the second time I said it loud and clear and the light winked out and I could move easily. I was scared but didn't think too much of is, I just contributed it to a bad dream and a new house and the sounds to get used to.

I am not sure when the next time happened, but it definitely happened again.

I was in my bed sleeping and facing the wall, away from the doorway. I was not able to move and the room stayed dark but I "felt" someone sit next to me on the bed....I actually felt the bed move as if a large man had sat on the bed next to me. The thing that bugs me the most about that is the fact that I could not turn to see "who" was there but I could "feel" the space this body occupied and I could "see" a red swirling mist in the space were this body was on my bed. I don't remember how that ended. I just vividly remember that incident.

On another night, I was again sleeping in my bed and since it had been a hot day I had bathed and was laying on bed in front of a fan to cool off. I must have fallen asleep naked on my bed but I do remember again sensing the glowing circle of light around my body and the feeling of not being able to move. The room was all lit up and I was laying on my back with my hands to my sides and my body totally paralyzed. I, again, attempted to say, "God, Help me!" but was unable to do more than form the words in my mind. But on the second attempt to utter those words I was able to say it and the light disappeared. Since then I have had no more of these situations and have moved twice. I just cant figure out what caused these and they still haunt me....if I could write them off as just bad dreams that would be great. But for some reason I don't think that's all they were and I can still remember then very vividly. Usually with a bad dream or nightmare you can at least forget them after a while.
