This is a report from my friend in Jaffrey NH

Okay I was walking down our street this morning (1-2 a.m.), I took off my headphones and looked at my neighbors house. My eyes moved up to the sky over the roof of their house and I noticed a rather large star. So I stopped for a second thinking it's probably the north star and I decided to be on my way. Right before I turned away this "star" suddenly flashed extremely brightly like a pulse of white from your spotlight. It dimmed just as quickly and streaked into the distance in under a millisecond and left a thin white trail which quickly dissipated. I blinked a few times and said the all-knowing words, "WHAT THE F**** WAS THAT?!"

It couldn't have been a shooting star because it stuck around in the same spot to long. Not an exploding plane, the flash would have had more a red tint than a bright white. Couldn't be a flare or firework, I would have seen the trail from being shot and it moved far to quickly.

I don't want to say UFO. cause that makes even me think I'm nuts, but I'm not getting many other explanations. Little help?
