TO: Report UFO Sightings
SUBJECT: UFO sighting from Helen
It happened in 1969. I was not abducted, but was close enough to see in the windows of this UFO. I lived in
Edmond, Oklahoma and was 18 years old at the time of my sighting.
It was the last night of Spring Break and I was in my room getting ready for bed when I happened to look out
my window a UFO was one block from my house, sitting over a friend's house. It was three or four houses long
and two stories high, oval shaped, metallic, and had windows on top and bottom. Inside, on the bottom, were
shiny and metallic-looking walls and floors. Lights were on. I don't know if it was going to abduct my friend
or her family or not. The UFO glowed from inside out and had lights that revolved around the bottom orange,
green, and blue? I don't remember the color of the fourth light. Five windows were on top, same as the bottom, but
you couldn't see in the top. They were slanted back and looked like what we call church windows. You could see
the lights were on but I could not see through them. It was hovering at antenna-level above a house. It sat for
about ten minutes and then moved along the railroad tracks going toward Oklahoma City.
I now live in Sacramento, California. In 1996, I was watching The Learning Channel on TV and they reported it
as going over Oklahoma City, never mentioned it came from Edmond or further North, as
Edmond is fifteen miles north
of Oklahoma City. It glided when it moved and never made a sound. On TV they said Air Force jets from Tinker
Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma chased it all the way to the Dallas - Fort Worth area when it picked
up speed and shot straight up in the air above the Earth.
I have never seen another one like it in the last 31 years. I have watched all the UFO shows on TV. It was not
reported in the newspapers or TV, and none of my neighbors ever mentioned seeing it. If they did same as me 31
years ago, no one ever would have said anything about something this big. But it was around 11:00 PM at night
and someone had to be out in the town, as Edmond is a college town and students were always out late in the
evening. And we have a Police Station, but I never heard anyone talk about it. We lived at the end of town
and Edmond was only about One and a half miles long. And we always walked across town on weekends, so it was
not that big compared to now, it had grown a lot. Until I saw it on TV, I always tried to believe it didn't
happen.
No pictures, didn't tell my friends, or even ask them if anything happened. I assumed no one would believe me.
I tried to tell my Mom about it, but she just said, "If you see another one, wake me." And I tried to wake her
up and my little sister, but it was as if they were dead. I couldn't shake them awake.
I remember it from the minute I saw it until it started floating away. There were no engine sounds. I watch
every UFO show on TV hoping it will be reported again someday. I have looked up everything on the web for 1969
UFO sightings in Oklahoma but it is not listed.
So I hope this is interesting enough for you. I was not abducted, although I have heard and read that when
someone is singled out to be the rest of the people are in a trance-like state and can't be woke up and that
is the way my Mom and sister were. This is all that happened.
So I have nothing more to add. Thank you for wanting to hear my story. I have kept this to myself for 31 years,
as no one I know ever talks about whether they have seen one or not, so I never bring it up or talk about it.
Any questions I can answer but I really don't think there is much else to say about it, as nothing happened
to me.
Thank you for asking.

You have my permission to include my name and e-mail address, in hopes that someone from my hometown will see
this and e-mail me. I would like to know I am not the only person who saw this. I have felt alone because of
this sighting. Of course, I have friends, but none of them believe in UFOs the way I do or have ever admitted
to seeing one. Please include my name and e-mail.
Thank You,
Helen Jones
