In the summer of 1952 I was employed as a scoutmaster for the Schenectady, NY Boy Scouts of America. My college roommate was the Water Front Director and was able to get me the position for the summer.
In late July, 1952, my assistants and I had just made bed heck on our troop and were walking back to our cabin at Camp Boyhaven, Balston Spa, NY. I was walking behind the other two and saw these strange lights (pin head size to me ) scooting back and forth across the horizon on a perfectly clear
Adirondack night in July. I said nothing until the two in front of me said, "Holy smokes! What is that?" We watched the objects darting back and forth in the eastern sky for some time then retired to bed. For the next two nights we witnessed the same thing and tried to get some readings on location, etc., but they were far away. On my day off I went to the Albany Airport to see if they had information on what I had seen and their response was scorn. At the same time they were telling me to buzz off, the newspapers were
bantering sightings of strange lights over NY and Washington, D.C.!
The reason I am noting this now is that it wasn't too popular then and the government was in the process of going through their sham on Project Blue Book and other fantasies. Since that time, of course, there have been worldwide sightings of UFOs, but still with no clarification of what they might be or where they might be coming from . I have had continuing interest in following the sightings and reports and as a historian (now retired) have found numerous examples of what is being sighted in many holy books, mythologies and pictographs of long ago.
