My name for this forum is Cassini, the dream you have mentioned and the scarred tissue, does run in the league of an actual abduction.
I have also had re-occurring dreams, for as long as I can remember. The dream about the actual examination is not uncommon, many people have a dream years later about there experiences.
The theory is that the older technology by the abductees only was effective on the sort to medium term memory, and once many years past the long term memory would all of a sudden throw in a real nightmare, for you to play with. It good to know that you have decided to open up on this, I know how hard this can be.
