Actually yes, I think I have had 2 implants that I know about- one in the inner ear (which became ineffective when I was about 10 or
11) that was extremely painful, and bled profusely - and one in the eye which went the same way in my early 20's. One night, I saw a series of yellow flashes in front of my left eye - then I lost my sight in that eye. It took about 2 hours to return. I went to the doctor immediately the next day - he promptly called in his colleague to have a look too. Turns out that neither had ever seen anything like it nor could explain why I saw flashes and lost sight. Then they became kind of vague, muttered something to each other - and promptly dismissed me from the surgery. Strange, my doctor had been very excited about the discovery too...
