I urge for both you and your boyfriend to examine yourselves for any unusual markings of any kind.
Both of you get together and write down everything from the begining of that day you two were walking in the field to the time ( 3 days later) after. Strat drawling pictures of each event from the begining to the end. Add the pictures in sink with the events exactly as they happened. Do this as your memories allow you to.
Give it some time, both of you will remember more about the incident as time goes by. Some memorys may come back as dreams or flash backs.
Start your recording project today. If either of you find any markings that you never had before and have absolutely no explaination for them. Take pictures of them immeaditly. Do it. you'll need them for back up proof.
