Reported by Karen from ? (115.30.35.167) on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 0:46AM : Last night I awoke to a noise that at first I thought was my radio turned down really low, I checked but it wasn't. I then checked my phone to hear if it was that, but it wasn't. I thought then maybe it was coming from outside so I put my fingers over my ears but the noise didn't go away & the level stayed the same. It was deep inside my head where one normally senses where their hearing is being perceived. It was not the sound of tinnitus. The sound, although repetitive, had differing highs & lows, like a radio transmission. However, the initial noise that awoke me sounded like a transmission starting up (it was different) because it then changed to the repetitive sound. I don't know how long this went for, maybe 10 to 30 minutes. I tried to go back to sleep & I think I did but only lightly because I kept waking up to this sound. It didn't hurt, it was a little alarming and only just annoying but it was soft enough to get used to it and then ignore it if I chose to. I am not a radio operator & had not been listening to anything like that during the day (it was Saturday & that day I had cleaned house & went shopping). I was lying in bed listening to the sound and then I heard a 'sssss' sound & felt a sensation as if it was closing off and it did, the sound went away. I went back to sleep. This may be linked into what I thought was a dream and then a conscious sensation 2 nights ago, so I suppose I should tell you that too. I told a friend at work about this the day after & he said you could have been abducted by aliens but I didn't think so, at all. I thought it was more spiritual until last night's sounds that seemed so real lying in bed awake. I have had a growing interest in spirituality lately, more than my normal everyday passing interest but not adamantly. I'm an average 52 year old woman, a Mum & busy with everyday life.
This part was the dream (an extremely shortened version): After some purposeful travel I stayed overnight at 2 dear old ladies home. I had sensed that the house had a spirit in it that seemed maybe angry or just playful. As any normal person would feel, it frightened me a little but I was just so tired I had to get sleep. As soon as I lay down on the bed I had a very strong sense of being lifted up from behind under my arms. I awoke from the dream trying to call out & became quite conscious. While awake & lying on my right side I sensed something lying in bed behind me caressing me, but it was a kind sense & I was calm. I felt I was being healed of my ills; not that I was sick but over recent months I had noticed that my osteoarthritis was probably getting worse. I went back to sleep and when I awoke in the morning my usual pain and stiffness was not there. When I went for a run that morning I felt much lighter without the joint pain and have not felt it as much since. It was good & I was pleased about the experience.
