I had gone to bed around 8:30 p.m. because it was a school night. My bedroom was the only one that faced our back yard, which was our pool and a 8 foot privacy fence around the entire yard. Behind the back fence there was an alley-way. My room had bay windows without blinds or curtains. I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep and saw lights reflecting through my eyelids. My first responce to the lights was that someone had been pulled over and down the alley since it was close to a major road. I stood on my bed at the foot and leaned into the window a few feet away from my bed. I looked outside expecting to see lights from cars through the tall wooden fence. Instead I saw a massive dark object hovering directly above my house. The object which definantly would only be described as a U.F.O., had lights around it and it was larger than any plane I had ever seen fly overhead. It was so close that I was in a state of shock. I wanted to scream for my father who would be awake in the living room. I couldnt utter a sound but I remember just wanting to yell for him and couldnt. The object hovered above for what seemed to be a minute or two. The huge object then flew so fast that it was undetectible and stopped and hovered. It had gone some distance due to the size difference. It didnt hover long before it darted to the left and stopped again, but neither time did it stay in that spot for very long. The U.F.O. then flew back to its original location, directly above our backyard and house. The expanse of the U.F.O was so large that it was apparent it was no more than maybe a hundred yards or maybe less above me. The U.F.O. then hovered again above me for a little while and then darted very far away again. It came back one more time to the same spot and then flew over my house the opposite diection where I couldnt see it anymore. I remember standing there for a few minutes waiting fo it to return, but it didnt. Oddly enough I simply laid down and wasnt alarmed by the situation after it was over, although I had been wanting to call for my father earlier. I asked my dad the next day if he had seen any lights outside the previous evening. He said "No". So I dismissed the entire account until many years later. At the time of the account I was very young so it can be harder to believe the experience was valid. You have to take into account that in 1985 there wasnt really any televised accounts of U.F.O.'s or widely known details of accounts like there is today. I being as young as I was would have no access to this information. It wasnt until several years after the incident that I saw my first television speacial about U.F.O abductions. I believe it was on Unsolved Mysteries. I witnessed acounts of seeing U.F.O's and details that closely matched what I had seen and felt. One thing I have never been certain of is if I was ever abducted. Looking at the clock never occured to me. I havent ever been under hypnosis and have only told a handfull of people. I have always been very into paranormal and have had alot of unexplainable feelings and have seen things before they have happened (i.e. my exboyfriend wrecking his truck hours prior, 9-11, and the death of several people). I cant explain this, but it could be linked in some way. I feel most at ease in the country, far away from ambient light, and although a little more far fetched my own daughters name is Celestial and I have always known that my first born was going to be a girl and I would name her Celestial, and exactly what she would look like long before I knew where babies came from at all. I have always felt that there is something greater than us but to define it is completely human. I have never been studied by a doctor on this account, but I know that I saw this and at the time was completely unaware of what it was. I hadnt even ever seen E.T. (I was an only child). I would like to know if there was more to this than just a sighting.
